The CPE unit is loaded with cards from production to validate that the data that is printed on the card matches the data in the chip. To read the printed data on the cards an OCR camera is used.

When all the data is collected and a match is made, the card is stacked ready for delivery to the public. If the data has a mismatch, the card is redirected to a seperate slot for further inspection.

This unit operates in groups of 10-30, depending on the production load.
